4-Wheelin' Fun

Daniel and Madison enjoying the afternoon sun and 4-Wheeling Fun!!

Tis the Season!!

December 2008 -
Tis the Season to be Jolly! The kids attended the HT-8 Christmas party on base at the bowling alley and had a fantastic time...bowling, balloons, and Santa!!! Ho! Ho! Ho!

One sunny afternoon in late November (2008) we packed a picnic lunch and went to the Mobile Battleship Museum. The kids had a great time exploring the parts of the battleship....and Yes....Madison is in a costume!!! (just in case the talent scouts were out looking for the next Wizard of Oz lion!! ;-)

Octoberfest at the Witherell's House

At the end of October we hosted the squadron (HT-8) fall festival at our house. We had a pumpkin patch with 50 pumpkins, sack races, pumpkin decorating contests, games, lots of food, and TONS of fun. The evening ended with a bon-fire, marshmallow roast, and special brew provided by a squadron member. The festival went so well... plans are in the making for it to become an annual event!

Pumpkin Patch

October 2008 - Daniel, Madison and Mommy visit the Pumpkin Patch located in Milton, Florida. The kids picked out one small pumpkin and one large pumpkin each to decorate and carve. They also rode on the hay ride and posed for a picture with Mom!

Fun in the Sun!!

The fall of 2008 we spent a few weekends out on the boat. The kids are beginning to explore all the fun places to sit on the boat. Madison has become an excellent navigator....(who needs GPS??) and Daniel loves to sound the boat horn to warn ALL the pirates that we are on our way!

School Daze!!!

August 18, 2008
Daniel and Madison's first day of school. Daniel is in Pre-K for the 2008 - 2009 school year and Madison is in the three year old program. They both attend Beginning Our Future Learning Center in Milton, Florida.

Splish! Splash!

Our major project for 2008 was the addition of the Witherell family pool. Daniel and Madison loved the entire project from the tractors digging the dirt to sliding down into the deep end while the pool was filling up (see photos). Daniel has become a pro at jumping off the rock wall and swimming the length of the pool...while Madison can race from one end to the other with the help of her Rubber Duck float.

Little Princess Pageant

July 2008

July 2008 - Madison took part in her first pageant. The pageant was held in Destin, Florida. The categories were casual wear and formal attire. Madison loved being on the stage! She placed third out of thirty-seven girls for the three year old "Little Princess" division. She took home 2 trophies - one for participation and one for third place. She is looking forward to the next pageant! Perhaps she will need a few more sponsors and an agent soon!!
